Retrofit the following Vanguard® rifle calibers* (listed above) with our detachable box magazine accessory kit. Trims 1/4 lb. of weight from hinged bottom metal. Easy to install kit replaces floorplate, spring and trigger guard with detachable box magazine (holds 3 + 1 in chamber). Durable injection molded plastic is bead blasted for a matching finish. Also fits selected Howa 1500 and Smith & Wesson and Mossberg versions of the Howa 1500.

Put this on my Vanguard 30-06. Easy install and incredibly smooth. So easy to load and unload when the light is getting low or at sunrise. I need Weatherby to come up with a kit for my Vanguard 6.5-300 WBY Mag. very difficult to load this long action under the scope in poor lighting conditions.

BOUGHT THE MAGAZINE ACCESSARY KIT FOR MY .270 WIN. VANGUARD. ABSALUTLY LOVE IT, SUPPER FAST DELIVERY, PERFECT FIT, EASY INSTALLATION A MATTER OF A FEW MINUTES. ORDERING A COUPLE MORE MAGS TONIGHT, ONLY DRAWBACK IS THEY ONLY HOLD 3 ROUNDS BUT I CAN LIVE WITH THAT.

So much better than top load and with extra mag makes it a quick load IF you need to. If you need to quick load after 4 rounds, you need to visit the range.

I do apologize but it does not fit on the 257 WBY. Here are the calibers that it is compatible with; *Available for 240 Wby. Mag., 25-06 Rem., 270 Win. and 30-06 Sprg. Vanguard rifles.

Not sure what the issue is for the comment above. 5 or 10 round magazine to stick out and make it uncomfortable to carry on your back?!? It’s not an AR or scout rifle. 3 rounds is plenty. But maybe that’s because I only need ONE! LOL I am still eagerly awaiting this conversion for short action(.308 WIN platform) and the 300 WSM… If it would need to be of a different design sue to larger diameter cases. PLEASE AND THANK YOU! (I have not purchased or used this product. I’m giving 5 stars because I’m sure it functions as advertised, even if it doesn’t benefit me directly.)

My Vanguard 2 270 rifle came with this and I was a big fan of the drop mag. In fact I bought another to have an extra. However, because I dropped it into some snow this spring I had to take it apart. Nothing in the manual about torque so I looked it up and was working my way up to 30 lbs and I made the mistake of not considering that it was plastic and when I was torquing up the front I guess I went to far and the plastic broke through on the rear bolt. Busted trigger. I am in Canada so it is not so easy to get another set. Will have to order through someone here. Expensive lesson. Love having the mag but just be careful if you ever have to take it apart.

I have a ten year old Vanguard .270 Win. The detachable magazine kit is dirt simple to install. Two screws and the original slides right out. The kit slides right in. It makes it so much easier to load and unload for vehicle transport. Ammunition loads into the magazine much more easily than the original. It feeds very smoothly from the magazine.
