Description

The Element line of shotguns uses a proven inertia operating system to deliver an evenly-weighted gun with superior reliability. Instead of porting off gasses from the combustion like a gas-operated shotgun, this action harnesses the energy of the recoiling gun to run its bolt. Because no powder gets re-routed into the gun, the result is a cleaner-running, low-maintenance gun. Element shotguns have durable chrome lined barrels that are built to last a lifetime of shooting. The vented top rib and front fiber optic bead make for quick target acquisition in low-light conditions. The Element Waterfowl comes with drop and cast shims to make sure the shotgun fits the shooter for consistent and accurate shouldering.

15 reviews for Element® Waterfowler

  1. Chris

I’ve had the element waterfowler 12 ga.. 26” barrel for a couple of months now. Put half a dozen boxes of target loads through it and it’s ran perfect. No problems at all. If your looking for a semi auto this gun should be at the top of your list.

  2. Chris

Purchased the weatherby element waterfowler couple of months ago. Wasn’t sure about the i inertia action but I love it. Put a couple of hundred rounds through it and runs perfect. Not a single misfire. Am now looking for an Orion sporting. Love all my weatherbys.

  3. Brian Pinsonneault Jr.

I love this gun! A true workhorse. My second Weatherby 12ga. (I also have a 92), and the quality and craftsmanship is unmatched at this price.

  4. Cole

Couldn’t ask for more. Great fit & finish, Great looks and Great Price!!

  5. Andrew

Awesome gun. This is my first inertia gun. Shot sporting clays with my son using all leftover low quality 2 3/4 shells from years of shooting. Gun never hung up. Well balanced and easy to the shoulder. Fiber optic sight really helps to pick out that spot just before the clay. I can’t wait for duck season.

  6. Wiserboxer

I am on my second full season with this gun, and I must say, this gun has out-performed not only my expectations, but any other semi that I have been in the field with. It eats any ammo I put through it.. the lightest 2 3/4 trap loads, to magnum steel and bismuth loads. The light weight is not an issue as the action absorbs the recoil and follow up shots are a breeze. If you are looking for a quality affordable semi, this is the gun. You know it from the moment you shoulder it.

  7. Bird banger

This is got to be one of the most beautiful guns I’ve had the opportunity to try yet ! Before anyone decides to go buy a Bonelli, Browning, Or any other inertia operated shotgun I encourage You to go to your gun shop and pick up to shoulder one of these beautiful Weatherby quality built shotguns at about half the price of any other shotgun today. I’ve done a lot of research before buying this gun I can find no bad reviews on the Internet or in the field.

  8. KillerElite1212

Had an SA-08 and upgraded to the Element. I am so glad I did. I love this gun and have no complaints. It kills ducks a lot better than the SA-08 did! lol! I would recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good quality, affordable semi-auto.

  9. Skipper

For Fathers day my two sons surprised me with this wonderful 12 gauge semi auto. We took it out and ran low brass target loads 1200 fps which ran flawlessly… she throws and tracks better than any Shotgun I’ve ever had… I am a fan of Weatherby shotguns as of today!!.. only critique is I need a magazine plug for the hunt and would be nice to have some Weatherby decals for my truck and such…

  10. Drd

I trust the weatherby name. I grew up watching my Dad shoot and hunt with Weatherby firearms. So it was a no brainer to keep the tradition going. I love hunting Waterfowl with this gun. It is smooth and functions flawlessly.

  11. Spence

I purchased my Max 5 and took it duck hunting in SEMO without putting a single shell through it first. I know better but that’s how things worked out. 3 days of hunting – 4 boxes of shells later and i was all smiles. It held its own against some Benelli’s in my group with one exception. While they had bruised shoulders from shooting equivalent amounts of 3 1/2 inch shells my shoulder felt the same as it did when we arrived. All of us shot Blackcloud. Most impressive of all was how clean it was when I ran a patch through it.
It excells at everything and I will put this shotgun head to head against any brand. Couldn’t be prouder of happier with this purchase. Well done Weatherby. Well done.

  12. Michael

The value and craftsmanship is unmatched in this price range.

  13. Spence_usm

Used it straight out of the box with Blackcloud #3 and hit every duck in my line of sight snd made a few shots that even surprised me. Recommend whole-heartedly. The real deal – as advertised. Couldn’t be happier and was so much cleaner than anticipated when i cleaned it.

  14. Charlie

When I bought the element, I was expecting great function and some compromises due to the price. The fit and finish on this shotgun is perfect. Shoots as well and is put together as well as any Beretta or Benelli I own. I recommend this gun without reservation.

  15. Russ

I used my Element™ Waterfowler Max-5 for the Opening Day of Dove Hunting In Texas, South Zone. I limited opening Day and the following 2 days. The Gun Operated Perfectly, light Recoil, no Malfunctions what so ever. I put 5 Boxes of 7.5 Shot thru this gun. I would recommend this Shotgun to anyone. For the Money, you cannot beat this Shotgun.
