The Small Batch SORIX from the Weatherby Custom Shop starts with the same field-proven SORIX platform and adds performance upgrades designed to elevate the platform. The bolt is polished and counter-drilled with small dimples to reduce bearing surface area while helping retain oil within the receiver rails. The result is less friction and smoother operation of the inertia system. Finished in a unique Field Worn Cerakote pattern, this Small Batch SORIX gives a nod to our Endurance Tested, Field Proven mindset. It includes the five standard inline chokes plus a Patternmaster Anaconda Mid Range choke for added versatility in the field.

20 ga models do not have a rubber cheekpiece.

The bolt is counter-drilled with small dimples that help retain oil within the receiver rails while giving dirt and debris a path away from critical friction areas. The result is less friction, smoother bolt operation and an inertia system built to keep running when conditions get dirty.

ANACONDA MID RANGE CHOKE

In addition to the five standard chokes, every Small Batch SORIX includes a Patternmaster Anaconda Mid Range choke.

Designed for an effective range of 20 to 50 yards, the Anaconda Mid Range uses a patented Coil Zone that applies a controlled twist to the shot column as it exits the muzzle.

The result is a shorter shot string that helps put more pellets on target at the same time for consistent patterns and clean kills.

The Anaconda is constructed from 17 4PH stainless steel and finished with a durable Military Spec Chemical Agent Resistant Coating for long term durability.

The SORIX is built on Weatherby's field-proven inertia recoil system. This system is simple and robust making it extremely easy to maintain.

Shift System for Left-Handed Shooters

The SORIX uniquely accommodates left-handed hunters with Weatherby's Shift System. A cut on the left side of the receiver allows lefties to easily swap the charging handle and the safety can be reversed.

Competition Cut Receiver

An aggressive competition cut on the receiver facilitates faster and easier reloading, making it ideal for dynamic shooting situations.

Oversized Controls

The oversized slammer button, charging handle, and safety ensure smooth operation, even in less-than-ideal conditions.

Adjustable Stock Shims

Shooters can fine-tune cast and fitment with the SORIX's adjustable stock shims, providing a personalized and comfortable shooting experience.

Unmatched Finish

All SORIX models are crafted in Italy and are coated in a durable Cerakote® finish. Many models feature a custom hand painted stock which is finished in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Optics-Ready Design

The receiver is drilled and tapped (8-40 holes) to accept mounts and the stepped barrel is equipped with a LPA fiber optic.
