Don’t let this 25 caliber cartridge fool you; it’s fast, flat, and packs a punch. The 257 is widely known as Roy Weatherby’s favorite cartridge and is the fastest commercially produced 25 caliber on the market. With a 92 grain Hammer Custom bullet, it reaches speeds of 3700 fps and maintains 1248 ft lbs of energy at 400 yards. For those of you that want a hard hitting bullet without the mule kick choose the 257 WBY MAG.
