The 280 AI was developed by Parker Otto (P.O.) Ackley. P.O. was a lot like Roy Weatherby, a wildcatter who was in search of better solutions. His 280 AI set out to improve the .280 Rem by steeping the shoulder to 40 degrees to increase powder capacity. Weatherby is known for ballistics and velocity, our 280 AI offerings will push the industry standards on both.

The Classic Hybrid Hunter utilize the industry-leading hybrid ogive, which blends tangent and secant designs to optimize efficiency, reduce wind-drift, and minimize sensitivity to seating depth. The Classic Hunter Bullets are designed for magazine usage and can easily conform to SAAMI dimensions while reloading. Classic Hunter bullets also incorporate a thinner J4 Precision hunting jacket for rapid expansion on game animals.
