I just acquired the book and it is a gem of information. I reside in Sheridan where the Company now resides. Being a company in my community, I found the content of the book very informative. I have enjoyed the history, the excellent photos, and general information of the book. Learned alot about the history of the company, it’s commitment to producing excellent quality firearms and cartridges. Would recommend it to everyone.

I recently received this book as a birthday gift. I remember the first time I read about the Weatherby Mark V as a teen in the early ’70’s and been enamored ever since. Everything physical with the book aligns with the quality Weatherby is known for. This is a BIG book with a leather feel and gold embossing. The first thing you’ll notice is how thick the pages are. These pages will not bend with use. Inside the book you will uncover the history and heritage of Weatherby’s early days where camping supplies and outboard motors co-existed with high end firearms to the new modern facility in Wyoming. Pictures are not only a Who’s Who of big name Hollywood stars, Kings and Presidents, but also family. What is apparent in reading is Weatherby appears the consider employees as family. While there are many pictures of the Weatherby generations, there are also many pictures of employees one of whom recently retired after 58 years. Says a lot about a company. As an engineer I enjoyed the chapters on the different cartridges Weatherby’s have been chambered in over the years and how the cartridges came into being. The other chapters are the devoted to the hunt; from classic African safari to North American game. This book resides on our coffee table and has started several conversations over the past few months.
