Originally, I was looking at a Christensen Arms rifle in Ridgeline FFT in 7PRC. Then, I noticed on FaceBook and YouTube all of the complaints and problems that owners’ were having. Then, I began looking at other options. I found the Weatherby Model 307 Meateater Edition. Nothing but great things were said about this rifle. I ordered one from Sportsmans Warehouse. I mounted a Vortex scope on it. I was extremely impressed with the quality, functioning, and accuracy of this rifle. I would highly recommend this rifle in any of the available calibers. Have the meateater model in 7mm PRC.
Comes with a Peak base, which is proprietary to the Model 307, cost you $100 bucks, if purchased separately, if you can find one. So buy the meateater Model. Only ammo I had is Hornady Precision Hunter. Doing my barrel break-in procedure, averaged 1.75″ @100 yards, remember this is cleaning the barrel between shots for 20 rounds. The 280 Ackley being broken in and fouled, ran the hammer bullets into a neat cluster of 5/8″ @100. Adjustable Triggertech trigger, muzzle brake, adjustable comb, 26″ barrel gets you the most velocity, 1-8 twist, made in U.S.A. by Weatherby!

I recently bought a weatherby 307 chambered in 7mm prc the accuracy, comfortability, and action are amazing in my opinion the only thing I have a problem with is the mag it is for a 300 wm and is a little to long for the 7prc and every couple of shots I have to reseat the mag into the rifle because it falls out.

I recently purchased a Meateater 307 in 7mm PRC. First off, the thing will shoot. Awesome accuracy straight out of the box (1/2″ groups all day). The stock feels really nice, the action is buttery smooth, the trigger is excellent, and did I mention accuracy. I couldn’t be more pleased with this rifle, and hopefully will be adding more to the collection! I have already downed a nice western WA blacktail with it and hope to put much more meat in the freezer with this rifle. Big thanks to the Weatherby team for yet another incredible addition!!
