  1. Kyle Fitzgerald

I was looking for a short action chambering to do some whitetail here in Montana. I put a lot of though into this or one other rifle. Being that it’s my first weatherby, I’m more then pleased with it. I got my 307 in .308 because 30 cal is my favorite. Shot 3 different factory loads. Largest being 1.04 and smallest was .55 at 100 yards. Can’t ask for much better performance.

  2. Rodney Bumgarner

I really like the entire package, the stock is stiff enough for whatever type of shooting you want. The action is great smooth, the bolt lift is so easy. Can’t say anything negative about this rifle in 7PRC with the 22″ barrel I dropped down to 162 grain projectiles to get the 3000+ fps 175@ 2940-2960 fps. I’ve had a vanguard for over 30 years love them. I think this is as good a rifle as you can get.

  3. Philip

I’m really enjoying my 307 chambered in 7 PRC. It’s been extremely accurate using 175 grain projectiles out of Peterson Cartridge Brass. So far I’ve been able to consistently hit my targets out to 1260 yards. I’m now looking for a place to test it at 1 mile.

  4. Riley Taylor

Recieved rifle almost a year after ordering. Which is understandable these days. Action feels smooth, stock is pretty unimpressive and feels like cheap plastic, fyi a picatinney rail does not come with a rifle so you’ll have to order one when you order the rifle. And the Peak 44’s haven’t been in stock for awhile (in Weatherby and Peak), and other picatinney brands are limited that will fit. So I can’t attest to the rifles accuracy yet. I’m hopeful though!

  5. Jacob

I picked a 307 up in 300WM and absolutely love it. Shot it without the muzzle-brake first and will say you definitely want that on there. With it, it shoots amazing. With recommended break-in it shoot sub-MOA and is a blast to shoot. For the price you’re not gonna beat the way it shoots and looks.

  6. Darmadi Darmadi

very clear and simple information on the rifle. l Like the 26″ fluted barrel + the 2″ muzzle brake.
Most of all the tool less bolt assembly

When first unboxing, I was nervous at how light it was. Especially since I went with the hard hitting (on both ends) 7mm Rem Mag. The rifle looks, feels, and fits perfect. I did the recommended break it and by round 15 I was well sub MOA at 100. With the factory muzzle brake the rifle had the recoil comparable to a .308. This is an incredible rifle that will impress aesthetically as well as from the bench.

I have been looking for a new rifle for a couple of years now and have been intrigued with the Weatherby calibers. I hunt in eastern NC, so I don’t require the “big boys” of the line-up, but wanted something that would be a good all around cartridge. I finally settled on the 6.5 RPM in the Range XP and I couldn’t be happier. The action is smooth and the trigger is perfect out of the box. It’s a clean break with ZERO creep. The 124gr Hammer custom loads are shooting 1/2 MOA groups and tracking exactly as the ballistics chart describes. My only wish is that I had waited a month for the camo Meat Eater edition. All in all, no regrets and I can’t wait to get it in the field this weekend.

I gave a lot of thought to this purchase and made a couple calls to the customer service folks at Weatherby with a lot of questions. I have to say they have the best folks I’ve ever dealt with in customer service! Rifle ordered. I picked up my 307 Range XP in 280AI in Lander Wyoming on 26 September 23. When I got it home I cleaned it and got it ready to shoot. (I have a YouTube Chanel and a full review is there) While cleaning I found fit and finish excellent, the action was smooth and the ability to adjust, via spacers, the length of pull for the stock was great and also being able to adjust the cheek rest height was a welcome addition. The included muzzle brake works very well and the included muzzle thread protector was an excellent fit. The trigger is adjustable however I found it perfect for me. Crisp and creep free. I mounted a scope and I began working up loads (No one has 280AI in stock) and in short order it was shooting 160gr Nosler Partitions into less than 3/4″ @100 yards. On October 2nd I was able to take a nice Cow Elk at about 300 plus yards with one shot. This is an excellent rifle, well designed and engineered by Weatherby, thus making it a worthy addition to their lineup. Since I live and hunt in Wyoming its extra special to hunt with a fine rifle built in Wyoming by a company staying faithful to and following a rich heritage of quality firearms history. Thank you Weatherby and all the good folks at Weatherby!
