The goal of the Camilla line of Weatherby rifles was to purpose-build a system that would accommodate the ergonomics of women and smaller-stature shooters. Countless hours of research, testing, and engineering went into the production of the line which undoubtedly led to a more comfortable and accurate platform. The graceful lines not only look amazing but are befitting of the way the stock fits female shooters. It features a shortened 13” length of pull, slender forearm, a slimmer grip with a gentle palm swell, and a higher comb for optimal scope-eye alignment. The recoil pad is fitted with an ergonomic cant to nest into the way a woman’s shoulder is built.

All Vanguard® rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99” or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA) from a cold barrel when used with Weatherby® factory or premium ammunition within Two-Years of Verified Purchase Date to Original Purchaser.
Robust adjustable match quality, two-stage trigger (adjustable down to 2.5 lbs.) with a clean break.
Safely unload rifle or have bolt locked. 3-position safety allows for two safe positions to ensure bolt is locked.
Length of pull shortened to 13”. Grip angle has been changed and made more slim and a slight trigger finger guide groove has been added for improved grip ergonomics. A shorter, slimmer forearm and grip with right side palm swell for better balance and fit. A higher comb to properly align a shooters eye with optics. Recoil pad has been given a negative angle, has been reduced in size, and the toe canted away from the body to better fit a smaller shoulder.

I purchased this rifle for myself several years ago in the 6.5 Creedmoor. I love shooting it as the fit and feel are perfect for me as a 5′ 4″ woman. I have become much more accurate as I enjoy my time at the range versus the pounding, I used to take from my not designed for women 270. I took a Desert Bighorn Sheep a couple of weeks ago with this at 250 yards and am grateful for the rifle’s accuracy. I am now looking at purchasing the Camilla in the new Ultra Light as most of my hunting is in the mountains. Thank you Weatherby for making a quality product for women.

Camilla Wilderness is Perfect. Fits my daughter [ 23] Perfect. Rifle is accurate Easy to handle. Her Camilla is in 7mm-08 . Hornady 139 gr. and Handloaded 154 gr are 1 moa or less. Making her confident and a better shot. Cow elk hunt for 2024 with a Wyoming Antelope for 2023 and whitetail 2023 in Michigan. It is just a great purchase Try it, You will fall in love

My wife used to shoot a compact rifle of another brand. She very seldom could shoot a group smaller than 4 inches at 100 yards. I talked her into letting me buy her a Weatherby Camilla in .243. She now shoots .5in groups at 200 yards. Maybe the rifle being designed by women for women has something to do with it but I am sure the barreled action has a lot to do with it. It’s a fine rifle and I will be buying more Weatherby rifles.
