Couldn’t believe a lot of the reviews on Weatherby’s web site – that was before buying the Vanguard .223 Carbine. Took it out April 23, 2015 to sight in the new rifle and Leupold 3 x 9 FireDot – G TMR #115370 scope. Used American Eagle ammo as the Federal Premium was three times the cost. Didn’t get around to shooting the Federal. Weather was cold and the little breeze made my eyes water. Being an old man almost seventy seven years old, cannot wait for my son to see what this little jewel can really do. Shot about twenty rounds getting the scope to make the bullet hit where I wanted it. Final four shots measured 7/16th inch center to center and 5/8th inch outside to outside. Burro Canyon Shooting Park’s range we used was ninety six yards.

Have a Vangard S2 25-06. Shoots great love it. trying to decide now between a rifle in 30-06 or a carbine in 308. Maybe a 270 would do just fine also.

got this rifle in 22-250 about 4 months ago and it is well worth the 550 dollars I paid for it at my gunshop when target shooting to get it in right and I was just off by 1 and half inches first 3 shots once I got it in right I was keeping it in half inch groups at 500 yards getting another one in 25-06 in a few weeks

Just got a Carbine in 223. Well balanced, great carrying, points like a magic wand. I have 4 Vanguards and this one has the best trigger. I highly recommended the Carbine!

There is no finer place on earth than hunting camp. I live for the smell of coffee in the pre-dawn darkness. Delight at the sight of fresh tracking snow outside. Drink up my friend, grab that pre-loaded drop box magazine and let’s get out into the wilderness.
