Vanguard® Modular Chassis

Description
The rest of the Vanguards might say I’m the bad boy of the family. Compliment accepted. But remaining at the heart of my modular chassis design is the legendary Vanguard action affixed to a CNC-machined, 6061 aluminum chassis with a black, hard-anodized finish. My svelte, minimalist fore-end features hole spacing for Magpul MOE L5 (11-slot) and L3 (7-slot) accessory rails for true customization. There’s also a stud for a bipod or sling. I’m always ready for action with an oversize trigger guard for gloved shooting and a polymer magazine that’ll take 10 cartridges. Now let’s go shooting.

I got the .223 and I believe as of Feb 2024 there aren’t many other options that could be paired up to this rifle off the shelves. I just love it. I still need to shoot on daylight. NIght time session accuracy was hampered by mosquitos. The trigger is great as it came.
I was lucky to get one of the few left at Cabela’s nationwide stock. It is a shame it was it discontinued.

I have been shooting Weatherby since the early 80’s. I have never been disappointed in the quality or performance. This is rifle not an exception. The rifle is quality build and affordable. Here is my setup: 6.5 Creedmoor, Hornady 140 grain ELX Match, Leupold VX-3i LRP 6.5-20X50mm, Vanguard Rings and a Surefire ProComp Muzzle Brake. I shot a 1/2″ 3 shot group at 300 yards. I will push it to 600 yards on the next outing. Final Word: You can’t go wrong when you have a Weatherby in your hands.

I was looking at the Ruger precision rifle but then my eye caught the vmc. I have it in 6.5, topped with a Nikon prostaff 5 FFP BDC 4.5-18×40 and I’m loving it. Every round ejects smoothly and the two stage trigger is crisp and consistent. Very comfortable rifle to shoot.

Have bought this in a .308 here in Western Australia, combined with a Nightforce NXS 5-22 scope. Very very impressed with the quality of the product and accuracy. Highly recommended.

We are a Weatherby family but looked at alternatives. For weight, smooth action and performance we are very happy with this choice. The Savage model 10 was no comparison either.

I bought the .223 and LOVE it, I have it topped off with a Lucid 25power scope.
Out of the box performance is killer! I will be buying the 6.5 within the next 6 months!!!!

love it, 1000 yards no problem
V2BC VMC –
Nothing bad to say about the VMC at all. Definitely sub MOA and I’m pretty sure it will do very close to 1/4″ MOA. Far more than just good looks. 6.5 Creedmoor 20″ Barrel.

I have this rifle in 6.5 creedmoor with; a nikon prostaff 5 4.5-18×40 ffp, a fortis RED muzzle break and a Harris 6″-9″ swivel bipod. I have found that my rifle likes the 147 grain hornady ELD. At 100-250 yards I can get holes to touch and 250-400 I can clover them. I definitely recommend this rifle to any person looking for a accurate bolt action.

Purchased in 6.5 Creedmoor with Vortex Viper PST 4-16×50 FFP. Shot six 3-shot groups @ 100 yards with Harris bipod. Four groups Hornady 140 gr ELD, one group Nosler 140 gr HPBT and one group Winchester 140 gr Sierra OTM. Groups were all sub MOA, varying from 0.34″ (Hornady) to 1.01″ (Nosler). Average of all groups was 0.76″. More than good enough to shoot 1000 yard matches. By any measure, this is excellent accuracy. Considering the actual cost, this rifle offers superior value. The action is solid and substantial. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
Coyote Militia –
Shot a .75″ group at 100 yds. Above and beyond the .99″ guarantee! Well done for an off the shelf rifle. It would be nice if Wetherby would thread the end of the barrell so a guy could put a suppressor on, just gonna have to get it machined. I have the 223 and am shooting Hornady 55g vmax with a Burris Eliminator III scope on it.

Great platform, easy to shoot, does not break the bank. Would recommend this firearm to anyone interested in precision shooting. Got it in .223 and love it!

I’ve got the 223 version and I could not be happier. Excellent firearm!

For a precision target rifle, this modular rifle is ideal. Just wish Weatherby offered a 24″-26″ barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor…….
