I have 3 Mark Vs – a 30-378 Stainless Synthetic; a 300 Wby Mag Stainless Synthetic and a 270 Wby Mag Alaskan. All are topped with Leupold variable scopes. ALL rifles shoot 3/4″ groups of three at 100 yds. The 270 is my go to elk rifle and I shoot nothing but Weatherby factory ammo in them. What’s really cool is that I sighted them in once after I bought them and broke-in their barrels. Now, before each elk or deer hunt, I fire only one round to verify POI and NONE of them have changed in over 15 years! Now, THAT’S pretty darned good for factory rifles using factory ammunition!

Bought my first Mark V in 1977 used. It’s a first-generation German model that has many days afield. I thought I might upgrade it with a new barrel and stock but that just wasn’t to be. So I upgraded to the Accumark, again in 300 Weatherby. Haven’t taken it hunting yet but on the bench it already shoots 3/4 inch groups with 165 Hornady bullets in factory ammo. I am also having some success with handloads, shooting a .54 group with Nosler Accubonds. I have a cow elk tag in Wyoming and I’m sure this gun is more than capable of helping me fill that tag. Thanks to the Weatherby company for continuing Roy’s legacy. I appreciate it.

i use a Weatherby .257 Mag. One of the best rifles i have ever owned. Unbelievable distances you can shoot with accuracy and hit. Looking at purchasing a 30-378 Mag In the near future…

I own 7 accumark rifles and they all are top notch quality and extremely accurate. Love every single one of them. These rifles are built like tanks solid performers!

I have a 15 +/- year old Custom Shop Accumark Sub-MOA in 257 Wby. that is a total tack-driver, I also had a Vangaurd VGX Deluxe in 300 Wby. but was honestly not comfortable hunting with it because it was so darn pretty, also the recoil on the un-braked 300 was stout to say the least….My 257 Accumark has the 1st gen Accubrake on it from factory and it literally recoils less than my 10/22…no joke…it may sound like a beast but it is a total joy to shoot, especially when every factory load and every reload I have ever run thru the gun all shoot 1″ 3-shot groups or better at 100yrds. Some of my reloads shoot far smaller groups than that, I have a pet load that consistantly puts 3 shots into 0.3-0.5MOA out to 300 yards++. One note for owners.. if you remove the stock from the barreled action,, like I did to tune the trigger down to a glass-rod 1.25lbs, make sure you keep any shims that may come out from under the recoil lug or tang of action…they are there for a reason, I lost mine and ended up glass bedding my action to get the rifle back to shooting at its best…. don’t remove stock if you don’t really need to would be my advice and torque back to spec with any shims if you do find stock removal necessary. Weatherby makes an awesome rifle that’s well worth the price and their factory ammo is second to none as well.

I own 5 Weatherby’s the 240 great coyote riffle and will take a Deer out anytime needed 257 great deer rifle skipping forward I love my 30-378 out of 6 Elk hunts I’ve been successful all but one time but that rifle is amazing topped with the Leapold VX6 I am comfortable at a clean kill at 700 yards

Beautiful weapon, extremely accurate and when you shoot the blood trail is short, since the deer collapse where standing. Simply the best.

WeatherByAccumark 30-378 wby. Have had this rifle for 2 decades. It is my elk rifle and has never let me down.. 14 elk all one shot kills. I shoot 210 Berger’s behind Retumbo. Awesome. Bug size groups at the range.
Parker Sjogren –
Always wanted an Accumark, but in the lighter 6 lug version and with enough power to knock down an angry Grizzly. Along comes the 338rpm! Put a 2×7 leopould on top, skipped the muzzle break, now I have an eight pound rifle. The perfect weight, the perfect rifle! Absolutely love it! Thank-you Weatherby!

Received my new 340 WBY LH Accumark. The gun shoots very well 0.69 inch group @ 100 yards using 225 TTSX. Very satisfied with the gun and the craftsmanship.

I own weatherby .30 378 accumark over 20 yrs old. accuracy always been exceptional. After helping my son site in another rifle I took out .30 378 at 100 yds. aimed at one of his bullet holes upon inspection my bullet had went just about perfectly through his hole case closed.
Bobby Dean –
Got a .300 Weatherby Magnum Accumark and it shot great. 180 grain slug shot a 1″ hole at 100 yds. I’ve heard that Marine Corps snipers would be proud of that accuracy.
Randy Davis –
I have an Accumark in 338-378 that is the most accurate Rifle I have ever owned or shot. I handload and finding loads that shoot 1/2 inch 100 yard groups is amazingly simple to do.Killing power is beyond belief. Perfect trigger, muzzle break and stock design make it a dream to shoot from the bench.

My Accumark 30-378 turned 22 this year! I load 174gr. Hammers right @ 3500 fps. With a 200 yd. zero and an 8 inch circle my Max Point Blank range is 527 yards! Let that sink in a second, what other cartridge in a VERY hunt-able rifle can even come close to that! Old Roy knew what was up, since 1959 the “BIG 30″ has been KING!!! No replacement for displacement .300 RUM shooters 🙂 It’ll constantly slap our 1009 yard 8” steel plate if I do my part… I shoot a 6.5 PRC for deer, this is my elk rifle!!!

My Mark V Accumark in 30-378 is hands down my favorite rifle. Last year my elk was at 804yds and this year died on the first shot ( through the heart) at 1013yds shooting Weatherby 180gr Accubonds. I bought the 30-378 because my hunting buddy who regularly shoots 1000+ yds told me ( when I asked if a guy could only own one long range elk rifle what would he want) the Weatherby 30-378 was the one to own. Amazing accuracy when coupled with a top of the line Leupold scope.

Over the years, I have acquired three Accumarks: .270 Weatherby Magnum, .340 Weatherby Magnum, and 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum. All three have functioned perfectly. In all three rifles, every feature exhibits very high quality. I have used all on successful hunts for deer and pigs. They are capable of far more accuracy than my skills can squeeze out of them. You don’t have to be a super-duper, long-range shooter to justify one of these rifles, either. They work just fine at 300 yards or less, where almost all big game is taken, regardless of what gun your’re carrying.
Cris Warner –
Wow!! What a rifle! Accumark 6.5-300 127gn. Honestly, I don’t think you could miss with this rifle. Consistently accurate and reliable. shot my largest Whitetail buck off a kneel down one knee at 537 yds. Applied a little scope dope, 1.7 Mil, and watched him take it and fall backwards from impact. Smooth chambering and extraction and zero complaints. Get you one and get some.

Nothing no better!

Just Love my Accumark 6.5×300. Hits like a hammer and super accurate. It shoots sub-MOA consistently.

Lightweight long-range BEAST!
I own the Mark V Accumark rifle in .308 topped with an older Springfield Armory 4-14x56mm Rifle Scope 308 Rangefinder Gen. 2 NOS. Use the ammo designed for the scope, you can hit tin cans at 1000 yards with the built in range finder. This rifle is a total beast, and the 308 rounds are inexpensive and easy to find. The rifle is lightweight and easy to carry for hunting. It is the most accurate rifle I have ever fired, and is of the best quality, I have had no issues. This is my favorite rifle in my collection by far, you get what you pay for… I would like to eventually add the 6.5 for even longer distances.

I have a weatherby 30 – 378 mark V accumark. I use only my own handloads in anything I shoot so I know they’re accuracy. My mark V Will clover leaf at 100 yard’s and within an inch at 200 yards. Going to a 500 meter range next month and will let all know how well it scores. I expect it will do just fine.
David Storey –
I currently have eight (8) Weatherby rifles and my Accurmark by far shoots the best.
They all shoot below MOA, but the Accumark puts them all to shame for accuracy.
It is somewhat on the heavy side, but it makes up for it when I pull the trigger. I have never had to shoot more than once on game which makes the hunt that much easier.
Thomas Baker –
I have my Accumark in 270 Weatherby. It came with a factory break on it. I have been able gets group of 1/2 or less with 130 grain ballistic tips and factory ammo. It fells like I am shooting a 243 with the break on it.
Tony Stoddard –
have 5 Weatherby vanguard rifles and love them all. wanted a new 338 so I bought the mark V fell in love with it so much I cant stop shooting it. Then ran out a bought my wife the Camilla Mark 5 ultra light. Amazing rifles will never buy anything but Weatherby again.
Matthew –
Dime sized groups at 100 yards, with 127 grain solid copper Barnes, Weatherby factory ammo .
Gary ELDRETH –
Always wanted a Weatherby but could never justify the price, until I bought one. There is nothing out there like the Accumark for any where near the money. All the bullet holes are touching at the range and I am not a great shot. It is one fantastic shooting rifle. Plan on another one soon.
